treat hemroids naturally

We've come across an exciting solution for people wanting to get rid of hemorrhoids or piles as its commonly known. Holly Hayden, who once was a sufferer of hemorrhoids, has completed her study on how to get rid of hemorrhoids, and has written a tell-all report to called H-Miracle.

Holly had tried everything possible and nothing worked. She then decided to try a home remedy which her grand mother told her about. This worked so Holly wanted to pass on the informtation to people who suffer from the embarrassing problem of piles.

For anyone suffering from hemorrhoids, the itching and discomfort that this condition can cause can really affect your quality of life.  There is so much contradictory advice out there – you only have to read one of the many forums to see this.  It is hard to know what really are the best hemorrhoids treatments -  over the counter or prescription creams don’t always offer the solution that they promise, not to mention the embarrassment of an examination by your doctor.

The good thing is that there are many more natural treatments that you can try at home – they are cost effective ways of alleviating the symptoms and ridding yourself of piles.  These are my five favourite at-home remedies:

Witch Hazel – this is a natural astringent which you can buy in liquid form.  Use by applying to a cotton ball and gently dabbing the area.  Probably the most used natural remedy for hemorrhoids.

Horse Chestnut – you can either buy a cream to rub on the area, or take tablets orally.  If using the tablets, read the instructions carefully and limit your alcohol intake at this time.  Avoid taking these tablets if you are pregnant, breast feeding or have high blood pressure.

Butcher’s Broom – this also acts as a natural astringent to clean and soothe the area, and also reduces swelling and inflammation.  It is available in capsule or tea form.  The tea doesn’t taste too pleasant so you may want to sweeten it with honey.  Capsules should be taken 3 times daily and once again, don’t take if you are pregnant, breast feeding or have high blood pressure.

Ice – readily available to anyone!  This helps by numbing the area, as well as reducing blood flow to the area, which eases the pressure.  Put some ice cubes in a bath, or use a bag of frozen peas and cover with a towel, then sit on it for 10-15 minutes.

Eat more fiber – your diet really can make a difference and should be one of the first things that you tackle.  Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, pulses (such as chick peas or kidney beans), and choose wholegrain versions of bread, pasta and rice.  This will make your stools softer and therefore easier to pass when you go to the toilet.

Most of these products mentioned are available from health food stores, if not you could try the Internet.  Give them a try – in my opinion these simple solutions are the best hemorrhoids treatments you can get without visiting a doctor.
