Why is my dog shedding huge piles of hair?
I have an 11 year old healthy beagle. We have always fed him natural vegetarian dog food & other different types of foods. He is still spunky and acts like a puppy even though his age. He sheds a little bit of hair everyday but lately he has been shedding huge piles of it. Any suggestions?
There are various things that can cause shedding–
poor nutrition– dogs are not vegetarians
seasonal shedding– it’s spring
thyroid issues– common in older dogs
I would change his diet first, then groom him well,and see his vet if it continues.
