Does anyone know how a hemorrhoid is taken care of?
I work in labor and delivery and have heard that pregnant women get hemorrhoids with the excess weight that they gain during the pregnancy. What is done to correct these hemorrhoids? Do they just go away? Are they something that has to be removed by surgery? What does that preperation H stuff do? I honestly am not making a joke, I just don’t know what the stuff does. Thanks for any help.

Hemorrhoidectomies can be removed through relatively minor surgical proceedures. Depending on the depth of the hemorrhoid, whether near the rectal opening or further up the anal canal plus the size of the hemorrhoid will determine whether surgery or simply laser treatment is appropriate.
