Do you think I have pinworms?
I’ve had pinworms like 4 times before and I think I might have them back.
I went to the bathroom and after a bowel movement I saw a little white thing that wasn’t more than the size of a piece of thread off my shirt.
My rectum itches now and then, but now more than a minute if even that, though thats probably because I have an external hemorrhoid.
I heard that there is a pinworm medication that you can get without a perscription. Is that true.
There is an over the counter medication for pinworms that you can get at your local pharmacy. It’s called Reese’s Pinworm Medicine (Pyrantel) and you only have to take the medication once. Also, make sure you are washing your hands frequently as well as cleaning your toilet, bed linens, etc. Any person living with you should be treated as well. The eggs can even be passed through the air so it’s best to take every precaution possible to reduce the chances of reinfestation.
If you take the pyrantel and it does not help you should visit your physician.
