Are there any “over the counter” feline UTI medicine?
This might be a stupid question. I believe my female cat(age 4) has a UTI infection. She has started urinating on the floor and in piles of blankets. If I tell my mother, she will get rid of both my cats. She is going to the vet soon, so I can tell the vet then, but is there anything that I can get her now? If not I will try to schedule the vet appointment earlier. But that is unlikely, because it is a very hard to rescedule.
Antibiotics are by prescription only and the urinating may not be due to an infection. If you take a urine sample to the vet and explain the situation they may possibly do a urinalysis prior to seeing the cat. Could be worth a try.
