Recovery time for piles operation?

I’m about to go into hospital for a haemorrhoidectomy. Has anyone had this done and how long before you could return to work?

I returned next day … or the day after that. (Sorry, I can’t remember back that far for exact details.)
It feels a little uncomfortable … dependent on the way you’re sitting, so I practiced sitting with my weight bearing on one leg and then the other.
