Problem with Piles.?
I am 26 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby.I had piles with my 1st baby and i have them even worse this time.They are external piles and lots of them.I am using preperation h on them which is doing nothing.They are so painful.I think they are a result of being constipated for 1 day then having dioreha ( i feel like there is still solid waste inside me that wont come out,but i have dioreaha to.What can i do to help myself?The pain is bad.I cant get an appointment to see my doc as hes full all week.Thanks.

It sounds like you may have a two part problem.
First the piles – as you can’t see your doctor, ask the pharmacist in you local chemist – they may be able to recommend a treatment that is more effective for the specific symptoms you have.
Second, the constipation/diarrhoea. It is common to have constipation during pregnancy, and it’s more common than you may think for it to alternate with diarrhoea. The combination can also be a sign of IBS. Start by considering your diet, and whether there are any changes you can make that may help – particularly increasing your fibre intake (gradually) and drinking plenty of water.
Hopefully these things will tide you over until you can get to the doctor. You could also speak to your midwife about it – the chances are they will also have some good advice.
