Narrow stools, and blood in stools?

I suffer from hemorrhoids, and am pretty familiar with having some blood in my stools, however every once in a while, I get quite a bit of blood (as in the blood will drip, rather than just seeing blood on my toilet paper. When this happens it usually continues for a day or two. Sometimes this is accompanied by narrow stools, which I heard was a symptom of colon cancer.
Is there a possibility that the bleeding is from cancer not hemorrhoids? The blood is bright red, it happens about once every two weeks, and the narrow stools is also occasional, depending on what I eat.

I’ve been experiencing the same thing and my Gastroenterologist told me it’s internal hemorrhoids and he wants to do an office procedure with a laser to remove them. I had a colonoscopy and all was fine except for a polyp which was biopsied and said to be benign.
