Blood and mucus from anus?
Background: I have IBS w/ constipation. I also just had a baby (csection) a month ago. I believe I developed anal fissure and/or hemorrhoid postpartum, but not totally sure b/c yesterday I had a gob of blood and mucus (1 – 2 Tablsespons) come out when I just passed gas (not with stool). It freaked me out so I called my doctor and he didn’t seem too concerned – said if it happened again to call back and they will look at me. I also have a little bit of pressure/discomfort down there esp when having a stool.
I will followup w/ my doc again, but just wanted to see what the general public had to say and see if anyone had a similar expereince.

I have had the same problem, though I haven’t given birth. I also had possibly double the amount of blood if not more. My doctor said if it continued that he would need a stool sample though he isn’t concerned. I’m very interested to know what’s wrong with us D:
