How can I heal hemorrhoids?

I recently realized that I have hemorrhoids but I won’t have health insurance for a while and i was wondering if they can turn dangerous if left untreated for a while.

Also, if I use aloe from a plant on the area, could this be dangerous?

Are hemerrhoids permanent, like herpes, or can they be cured for good?

Thanks in advance for your help.

hemorrhoids are inflammed and irritated blood vessels within the opening of the anus.

these will usually go away on their own. whether they return or not depends on what caused them in the first place.

the biggest culprit is constipation. Straining to pass hard stools puts too much pressure on the rectum and makes the veins swell (like varicose veins behind the knees). Basically, anything that causes strain or trauma to the anal canal can cause hemroids

Hemroids are caused by increased pressure in the veins of the anus. The upright posture of humans forces a great deal of pressure on the rectal veins, which sometimes causes them to bulge. Sitting in one place and straining while moving bowels (from constipation or hard stools) causes hemroids. Excessive rubbing, or cleaning around the anus, diarrhea, sitting on the toilet too long, severe coughing, child birth, lifting heavy objects, anal infection cause hemroids.

increasing your fiber intake can help ward off future hemroid flare-ups. things such as beans, broccoli, whole grains, carrots, and iron fortified cereals will help with this.

stool softeners will help soften hard stools which can help prevent the straining that causes the hemmoroids. you can also by over the counter medication such as preparation H which comes in both the topical ointment (cream like stuff that comes with a special cap that can be placed into your rectum to treat the burning and itching from the inside) or in wipe forms.

i would advise against the aloe plant-the rectum is a very sensitive area and it’s already irritated. you could irritate worse and introduce germs to the area which could cause infection.

do NOT attempt to push them back inside your anus if they are external-this could cause injury and also cause infection. if they are external-just apply warm washcloth compresses to the area for 10-15 mins at a time. afterwards, wash well with warm water and mild soap and apply preparation H cream to the area.

they might also bleed mildly when having a bowel movement. this is not cause for concern UNLESS there is a large amount of blood in the tiolet (the water has turned completely red) or you are unable to stop the bleeding-at which point you should report to the nearest emergency room for treatment.

these are not permanent-with medication and some diet modification, you can prevent them from reappearing in the future.

hope you feel better
