Why does my dog put small piles of dry food around the house?
Is he saving it for later?
He also will stand over his food for a few minutes before he starts to eat. He will walk around the rooms a few times and then stand over his food again. It is funny to watch, but I want to know what he is thinking. Thanks!
LOL You will never know what he’s thinking! Observation says that dogs that do this are “saving for later”. Lots of them do! About the stand overs…does he do this with treats also? Perhaps he’s checking to see if there’s anything better in the offing. Although I don’t give my girl table food…she always waits to see if she’ll get any of my dinner before she gives up and eats her own. This has been going on for three years now….but she lives in hope! Merry Christmas
