Painful Hemorrhoid What Should I Do?
I’m only 14 but i think i have a hemorrhoid on my butt. Its a bump and i’ve had it before i think but they usually go away quickly. This time its getting really painful and i’ve had it for about 3 days. I can barely walk normal and it hurts to stand and sit. What should i do? Is this normal for a person my age to get hemorrhoids. I’m not overweight at all. I’m 5′6″ and 120 lbs and i have low body fat. I get more than enough exercise.
Also, I have basketball tryouts for my school team in half a week and i have a piano recital in a week and a half. I need to get rid of it fast.
I had a hemmoroid when i was in the eighth grade. so i guess i was about the same age as you are now. I was thin but not over athletic. It developed toward the end of the day and got really bad when we went to the computer room for something we had to do in our class. seems like i realized what it was when it happened and it of course worried me to death.
since it was the last class of the day and i wasn’t going to tell anyone what was going on I bared with it until i got home. When i got home (and this is embarrassing) I just pushed it back up into my rectum. Didn’t have to push it far just pass the anus. Seems like it did the trick for a while and then it may have come back a couple of times more but finally it did go away soon after. I think it was a problem for about a month or two.
You may just want to ask your parents what to do and they may have a good answer for you. There are many health websites that can tell you how to prevent them in the future or much better ways to treat them.
Hemmoroids are basically swollen veins in the end of the rectum. Stuff like preparation H is used to shrink them. But it is definitely something you need to talk with your parents about and get it taken care of right away.
I know some causes can be diet, and straining to hard in the bathroom.
