Different hemroid symptoms may be manifested through itching or bleeding and every kind must be dealt with appropriately. Internal hemorrhoid symptoms and external hemroid symptoms have case to case differences, which must be understood first to come up with distinct ways of dealing with each case.

The External Hemorrhoids

Pain in the rectum is one of the external hemroid symptoms and it is due to obstruction of the bowel movement. This unpleasant condition results to formation of blood clot under the skin and lumps. This is called thrombosed hemorrhoids and is characterized by clot and lump formation under the skin.

Occasionally you may experience the same condition if you try too hard pushing your rigid stools out, and this can cause bleeding. This bleeding is rare and uncommon, but it may happen. It is usually a common place issue with an internal hemorrhoid but not so much with an external one.

Internal hemroids

Finding blood in your stool can be a first sign of internal hemorrhoid. Specifically, this is rectal bleeding and is often found in patients with internal hemorrhoid. Generally you pass blood, fresh and crimson in color, with your stool and then know that you have an internal condition that you need to be cured. Anemia can occur due to this condition, however it does not happen usually.

Having blood-stained stool is just one of the signs of internal hemorrhoids, so it would be wise to identify other symptoms and match it with your own. Hence, it is more than wise to visit your doctor so that proper evaluation is done.

Itching as a form of irritation will affect you severely when you are suffering from this condition. The irritation is due to mucous secretions that are toxic to the anal lining. The irritation is manifested through the itchiness in the anus. The unavoidable itching sensation is felt around the anal opening and inside the anus.

Besides itchiness, another hemroid symptom is skin irritation. A person with internal hemorrhoid often has skin irritation in the back and on the buttocks. Internal hemroids give rise to acne-like irritation. The mucus secretion in the anus causes the irritation and itching on the nearby skin. Mucus may ooze from hemroids that are huge enough to stick out of the anal opening resulting to irritation of nearby skin tissue.

Often, sitting down causes excruciating pain which is one of the hemroid symptoms. There is also a frequent urge to defecate. The hemroids press on the walls of the anus creating a feeling of “wanting to defecate” constantly. This confusing sensation does not seem to go away, even just after moving your bowels.

Pain is the most acute hemroid symptom and you can use a variety of pain killing ointments or tablets to take care of the condition.
