What does my hamster have?
I’ve had Blake since about the middle of January. I got him with his brother, Tanner and they shared a cage for 2 weeks until they started fighting. Blake always had itchyness that at first I thought could be fleas, but Tanner never itched/itches.
If I take Blake out of his cage and he poops it’s all normal, but when I’m cleaning his cage the tube leading to the wheel is filled with piles of diarea(sp?). He has normal poops and diarea!
He cleans himself A LOT too. He itches and still cleans in fact.
He’s very aggressive too. I think he’s calmed down for now, but still very jumpy and agressive all together. Can barely ever get him out of his cage.
The diarea alerts me to think wet-tail, but it doesn’t match anything else.
Could it all just be nerves??
(PS. His brother, Tanner, is the friendliest most eager hamster ever. He’ll jump into my hand the moments it’s in the cage)
I would find a vet who is works with pocket pets and ask them for their advice. You don’t want to play around with the little guys as they get sick fast and go downhill quick. Maybe they can give you advice over the phone. You should only take medical advice from a vet.
